The godparents (nașii) play a unique and central role in Romanian weddings. They are more than honored guests — they are the spiritual mentors of the couple, offering guidance and support throughout married life.

On the morning of the wedding, Aiko will visit the godparents’ house . This visit is both a formal invitation to the wedding and a request for their blessing. A small toast is often shared, along with snacks and music in the background.
